Does anybody have the setlists for any Sharks concerts? I would just like to know out of interest as they seem to play varied sets.
Cheers cyclops

I saw SHARKS at Moo Bar, Leamington Spa on 14/4/11 and the setlist was

It Threatens
Love & Fear
Sweet Harness
The Light at the End of the Tunnel is Hell
Arcane Fires
It All Relates
Clear Day
Glove In Hand
Mirrors Within Mirrors
Trains
I Fought The Law

Thanks. I'm embarrassed I didn't know the Clash one . I'm actually a fan of them, I only have London Calling and Self-Titled though, that's why I don't know it.. however, now you mention it it does ring a bell!
Plus I'm only young and just getting into that era... that's my excuse! Wink

Correction, tomlobban. Although, it is certain that Sharks influence to cover I Fought The Law comes from the Clash's recording of this song. It is not a Clash song, so hence not a Clash cover. It was written by Sonny Curtis and recorded by The Crickets in the late 1950's. Which was a post Buddy Holly line up band. A Texan by the name of Bobby Fuller made the song famous when we recorded it in 1965.

that was my fault, as I called it a Clash cover (shame on me!)

of course, the question is always whether a band covers the original version, or the version they know (best); so did Sharks cover The Crickets or The Clash (the latter seems mroe likely)? but now I'm splitting hairs rabbit

and welcome to the board, Tim Az

Well, of course that is always up for debate. The Clash's version of the song is pretty darn close to the original. Of course The Clash play it faster with a harder rock n' roll edge, but lyrically they are pretty spot on. My point in all of this is to give credit where credit is due and to point out who was influencing the Clash. For it's time it was quite rock n' roll.
